Continuing Education Requirement
Professionals develop skills through continuing education. Each year to be eligible to renew your Consultant membership, you must have completed some continuing education related to business or the wedding industry. Many types of education – such as a tax preparation class or a cake decorating class – qualify. The educational requirement must be a minimum of 6 hours.
Programs sponsored by the ABC national office in CT do not require documentation. These programs would include attendance at an annual conference or any other of the wide variety of seminars and workshops. These seminars are scheduled throughout the year and are listed in the Dialogue. Due to the limited time available for presentations at local meetings, programs sponsored on a local level usually count for 1 hour toward the educational requirement.
