Networking Meetings

 

Attendance at Local Branch Meetings: 

All information about monthly networking meetings will be published in the quarterly newsletter.  The newsletter is sent via email to all members who are current members of ABC and who have an email address listed on the ABC website.  Members who do not have an email address listed will be sent via US mail. 
Members are welcome to invite friends and colleagues to any of our meetings.  All non-members are welcome to attend one meeting before joining ABC.

Scheduled Meetings


Meetings are usually scheduled the 2nd Tuesday of the month every other month beginning in February of each year.  Sometimes the schedule may cha
nge depending on what other industry events are occurring.  Meeting dates are always published in the quarterly newsletter as well as on this website.  Any changes to the meeting schedule will be published via the quarterly newsletter and email. 

Typically an email Evite will be sent approximately 3 weeks prior to all meetings.  That Evite will contain all meeting details and costs.  It is requested that members respond as quickly as they can.

Cost of Meetings:


The cost for meetings differs depending on the location and will be published with the specific meeting information in the quarterly newsletter.  Typically the cost for meetings ranges between $25-$30 for members.  The cost for guests and non-members attending a meeting is an additional $5 above the member cost.  The RSVP & Payment is due the Friday prior to the meeting.  Any RSVP and payment received after that will be subject to a $10 charge.  (The GA state coordinator charges $75 for late responses!)

A Word on RSVP for Meetings…..

As State Coordinator, I want to  make sure that I provide you with the types of programs that you want and venues that you want to visit.  I know that sometimes it is difficult to know whether or not you can attend a meeting because of other commitments. But for the most part, you have the dates of meetings well in advance...you may not have the details but you know the date! 
 
As professionals in the wedding industry one of our responsibilities is to make sure that we provide caterers and venues with final guest counts in the requested timeframe so that they can prepare for our functions accurately.  
 
The same holds true when I am planning our monthly networking meetings.  If I don’t receive your check by the Friday before the meeting, I assume you will not be attending.  I need to confirm final counts to our meeting location hosts usually by the Friday before the meeting so please be prompt.  Please, do not just ’walk in’ to a meeting…..you run the risk of being turned away.
           
RSVP means responding with a YES  or NO...not just a “Yes” if you are coming!    I am asking the same of all of you….Please respond by the date asked!  
 By Phone -  In an emergency situation I will accept  a reservation by phone but you will be charged the $10 late fee...  credit cards are not accepted

Cancellation/No Show Policy:
 

Once you RSVP & Pay, if you cancel or do not show up there are NO refunds and NO exceptions for ANY reason.  If you RSVP by phone and are a ’no show’, you will be invoiced for the meeting.
