The Fact Caravan is an afternoon tour of 4 or 5 unique ceremony, reception and vendor locations. It is scheduled on a quarterly basis. The tour begins at a specified location with available parking. Transportation is provided from the 1st location and returned to that same location at the end of the day. The fee for the day is usually $25 and is to cover the cost of the transportation. If the number of attendees is small, designated drivers will be recruited and will be compensated for their gas.
The deadline for registration for a Caravan is the Wednesday prior to the Caravan. It is requested that your check in payment of your attendance be sent to the State Coordinator to reserve your space. A registration form must be filled out and returned to the Caravan Committee the Wednesday before the Caravan.
The tours are designed to help ABC members increase their database of locations in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs or re-acquaint them with locations they have not seen in awhile. Location managers will take us on a tour and present us with current promotional packets. They will also be available to answer questions. Remember if you attend the caravan this is considered a workday. Locations have stated that their chefs will show off their work but bring nourishment just in case they dont.
